Today onstage at Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft announced that BlueJeans will be a video interop partner for Microsoft Teams, the hub for teamwork in Microsoft Office 365. Why does this matter for customers? Because BlueJeans makes video communications remarkably easy for Microsoft customers by providing a gateway that helps users access Teams anywhere, on any room system.
Ben Canning, Director of Program Management for Skype and Teams shares details about the BlueJeans partnership on stage at Microsoft Ignite.
As with everything we do here at BlueJeans, customers are at the heart of this integration. We want to ensure that users make the most of their Microsoft environments as well as their existing equipment. It’s why Microsoft chose to partner with BlueJeans.
Lori Wright, General Manager of Microsoft Teams and Skype Product Marketing at Microsoft noted, “BlueJeans has a strong history of enabling customers to maximize their room system investments. Customers will appreciate how easy it is to bring their existing meeting spaces into Microsoft Teams meetings using the BlueJeans interop solution.”
BlueJeans is committed to providing solutions for Microsoft customers with easy, immersive meeting experiences that extend beyond Teams. Customers benefit from enriched user experiences with both Office 365 and Skype for Business, using Microsoft’s APIs and SDKs. For example, BlueJeans developed an add-in for Skype for Business that brings together the messaging and online meeting capabilities of Skype with the benefits of the BlueJeans platform. Now with Teams, we’re taking it to the next level.
Together, BlueJeans and Microsoft will empower the modern workforce.
