BlueJeans has now officially unveiled the next chapter of our phenomenal growth journey, the Enterprise Video Cloud. Since I joined BlueJeans in late 2012, we have always been an organization dedicated to delivering the best-in-class, enterprise-grade video experience that people love, including executives, educators, sales professionals, marketers and civil servants. But with our Enterprise Video Cloud launch, we have taken that best-in-class experience to the next level.

For the launch, BlueJeans arranged great entertainment, food and drinks for all of us in our Mountain View HQ, and to kick it off, we hosted a “Changing Your Game with Video - Executive Customer Panel.” Executives from well-known customers, such as Fitbit, Viacom, Linkedin, and the Wharton School shared their visions of the future for video communications. An audience of over a thousand customers and interested viewers joined the event over the BlueJeans Enteprise Video Cloud platform. The message that arose from the panelists is clear -- Video communications is not only the future, it is here and now.

The launch and celebration did not only herald a new future for the Enterprise Video Cloud, but it sounded the last gasps of the old familiar dial tone. As Lori Wright, our new CMO told John Ellett at Forbes : http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnellett/2016/04/12/new-cmo-of-bluejeans-t..., we should “quit staring at the dead device in the middle of the table.” Face-to-face communications provide rich and innumerable benefits, across geography and devices that telephones cannot match. I have not used the conference room speaker phone since my last job almost 4 years ago. Video is my mode of both business communications and personal calls.

In her bestseller, Whoever Tells the Best Story Wins: How to Use Your Own Stories to Communicate with Power and Impact, Annette Simmons writes about the tremendous power of stories. They can persuade, provoke, challenge and elicit emotions. In any meeting or presentation, the greatest impact is from people with a compelling story to relate. Stories are what get your point across, regardless of with whom you are communicating -- customers, employees, really just about everyone. The one thing that can increase the impact of stories is stories told face to face.

With face to face communication the story goes beyond words and tonality with facial expressions and body language. Empathy, passion, excitement build with every twist and turn of the narrative. Face-to-face also provides instant recognition to gauge your audience’s interests and make changes to maintain attention. With BlueJeans’ Enterprise Video Cloud you not only tell your story but your audience can feel it.

Why BlueJeans' Enterprise Video Cloud? Its the full spectrum of face-to-face communications that makes BlueJeans’ Enterprise Video Cloud unique. As a company, our objective is to deliver rich video communications experiences that people love, and those rich experiences come from enabling the full range of human expressions including non verbal. While many vendors incorporate video capabilities in their collaboration suite, BlueJeans stands alone in its design, building a global cloud architecture that is unprecedented in scale and scalability and in its attention to ease of use, security, flow among devices from mobile to desktop to room systems and suitability for individuals, team, or entire organizations. BlueJeans is just beginning its journey to continually revolutionize end-to-end video experiences starting with last week’s official launch of Enterprise Video Cloud. A new day with an unprecedented video communication revolution that rivals Apple’s launch of the iPod/iPhone/iPad, has dawned, and it will reach the heart of how people already love to communicate -- face to face with feelings and emotions.
